We invite you to join us for a tour at Platte River Power Authority's award-winning power generation facility, Rawhide Energy Station. Come see first-hand how Platte River generates reliable, environmentally responsible, and financially sustainable electricity for it's owner communities of Estes Park, Fort Collins, Longmont, and Loveland. Since it's commissioning in 1984, Rawhide Unit 1 has consistently been one of the best-performing plants in the country and was recently awarded the Coal Users' Group's 2023 Plant of the Year award.
