What is energy efficiency?

Energy efficiency refers to using less energy to perform the same task or getting more output from the same amount of energy input. Energy efficiency reduces energy waste and maximizes the useful work obtained from energy consumption. This can be achieved through various means, such as using more efficient appliances, optimizing industrial processes, or improving building insulation.

For homeowners, these incentives can help fund projects such as installing heat pumps, upgrading windows and doors, enhancing insulation, or modernizing electric panels. For businesses, additional benefits include deductions for energy-efficient commercial building improvements like lighting, HVAC, building envelope and hot water systems.
