kimKim Drury, campaign lead. Kim is on her second tour of duty with the NW Energy Coalition. Last year, she spearheaded Coalition efforts to get the Washington Legislature to offer tax incentives for super-energy-efficient appliances. Kim rejoined us in July 2008 to help develop and lead Efficiency Works!

Kim is known to be annoyingly passionate about energy efficiency. She began her career in Seattle City Light’s Conservation Office (working with another City Light alumna, Coalition Executive Director Sara Patton). She moved to the Washington State Energy Office, then applied her energy-efficiency experience as manager of Seattle’s Water Conservation Office. She led Seattle Mayor Greg Nickels’ climate protection program from 2001 to 2007.

john1John Healy, campaign communications lead. John joined the team in December, 2008, eager to contribute to what he considers a defining issue of our time. John brings the Coalition broad experience as a daily journalist and Internet media executive. He has guided strategic communications for the public interest groups Futurewise and the Washington Bus, and for the City of Seattle’s sustainability office.

When not working, John keeps busy with a great family, a pretty good rock n’ roll band and a wily old hockey team. His preferred travel modes are bicycles and skis.

Diego RivasDiego Rivas, Montana campaign advocate. Diego joined the Efficiency Works! team in January 2010 after working on climate change issues at the federal level with Montanans for a Healthy Climate. Diego is owner of Play On Soccer, a soccer retail store in downtown Helena.

He enjoys spending his free time in Montana’s beautiful backcountry, traveling in Latin America, or playing any sport remotely competitive.

ronRon Whitney, Idaho campaign advocate. Ron comes to Efficiency Works! from a career as a home builder, construction manager and design coordinator. He is an Energy Star builder who advocates for Energy Star certification to all his clients.

An architectural engineering graduate of Cal Poly State University, San Luis Obispo, Ron is past-president of the Building Contractors Association of Southwest Idaho and current member of the State Building Code Board.

Ron and his wife, Connie, share a passion for hiking and for assuring that the Idaho backcountry will always be available to enjoy with the grandkids.

Efficiency Works! is funded by the Sea Change Foundation with additional support from the Laird Norton Foundation and The Energy Foundation
