Welcome to 2010 and the new Efficiency Works! web site

Welcome to 2010, the year of energy efficiency and the new Efficiency Works! website.

The site (the handiwork of our friends at Dillon|Thompson, in case yours needs a refresh) aims to be a go-to resource for Northwesterners working in businesses of all sizes who want to reduce the amount of energy and dollars that get wasted. We’ll do our very best to make saving energy as much fun as, say, looking at a sleek and sexy wind turbine or a futuristic photo-voltaic array. It helps our cause that efficiency is a lot cheaper and often easier than those other very good alternatives to costly and polluting new power plants and pipelines.

We’ll post on issues as weighty as state and federal energy policy, because those things can affect all of us greatly, and things as quirky as the insulation just installed in my own house by a member of a sharp consortium of home-performance contractors in Washington state.

And we’ll assemble all in one easy-to-navigate place the many resources available to Northwest businesses become more energy efficiency, whether you’re in Idaho, Montana, Oregon or Washington.

You might even find surprising and entertaining video. You never know.

So, bookmark the site, put a link to us on yours, and look to us for announcements of (foreshadowing here) exciting new programs to help make energy efficiency happen in your business. After all, it’s 2010. Happy New Year.
